The poverty was worse than I had imagined. Some people feel a deep sense of despair, but I think that such emotion must take another direction. Instead of despair, I hear a call to action. I have continued to hear the call to action since I first read about lqbal. The call has pushed me forward. I believe this is the same call to action that moves workers for human rights around the world. We must not turn our eyes away from the fact that there are millions of children forced to work in violent and dangerous conditions. I will spread the word about the suffering of all the children I met. As citizens of the world, we are all responsible for one another. "We must be the change we want to see," Gandhi said.
