evenの働きを教えてください。
ビジュアル英文解釈 Part １の234ページに But the sea is always moving, even so much that our eyes can see it, simply because the air above it is moving. (しかし、海はいつも動いているのです。その上の空気が動いていることだけのために、我々の目に見える程度であってもです。） という英文が掲載されています。この場合、evenはどういう働きをしているのでしょうか？また、この英文からevenを削除しても、大意は変わらないでしょうか？

１。この場合、evenはどういう働きをしているのでしょうか？ ある範囲内でも、と言う意味で、「肉眼で見える物理的距離の範囲」と「普通見ている短い時間内でも」と言う意味だと思います。 ２。また、この英文からevenを削除しても、大意は変わらないでしょうか？ 変わると思います。詳しくは下記の副詞の項をご覧ください。 https://eow.alc.co.jp/search?q=even

＃１です。補足です。 ＞＞リンクを見ても、「ある範囲内でも」とは書かれていないのですが、どうして「ある範囲内でも」という意味になるのでしょうか？ あ、それは辞書は原語の一つ一つに密着した訳しか書けないからでしょう。

Well, there are times when the sea is nearly still, though no doubt even when it looks like glass there are waves in it too small for us to see.But the sea is always moving, even so much that our eyes can see it, simply because the air above it is moving. even so muchの部分ですが、このevenはso much...を修飾しているということでしょうか。だとすれば、どう訳すのが適切でしょうか。強意の「さえ、までも」だと意味が分からないので、「それどころか」でしょうか。 また、「それどころか」と訳した場合、前文の内容を受けて「それどころか」なのでしょうか。
