ofの意味
ある熟語の説明で "to unfairly use more than you should of someone else's time, help etc for your own advantage"と書いてありました。of周辺の構造が分からないので教えていただきたいです。

まず、to ... use ～というのは、動詞の語義を表す古典的な英英辞典の書き方で、 unfairly が挿入されています。 time, help, etc. と並列になっているのでしょう。 should of のような助動詞の後に来そうにないものが来るときは たいてい、助動詞が一語で代動詞的に使われています。 use という動詞が前にあって use more than you should use of ... これでも of がわかりにくいかもしれません。 more の後に、ばくぜんと名詞でいいのですが、 単なる名詞でなく、someone else's のような所有格がついているため、 直接 more がつけられないための of です。 自分自身の有利になるように、他人の時間や助けなどを、使うべき以上に不当に使う（こと）
