1. militantは、自分が知っている限りで言うと非合法な響きがあります。 下記の militant の定義は The group has always been characterized by an uncompromising militancy となっていて、非合法の意味はありません。 http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/militant ２。"A spokesperson"は"the militant group"の広報のようです。すると、この分だけを読むと、広報が自ら自分たちは非合法だと言っているように聞こえます。 武器を取って戦わないのは弱虫の意気地なし、いちゃもん付けるなら首を斬るっていう人たちで、平和が悪、戦士が正義の士だ、という背景を考えれば全然問題がないと思います。 ３。とspokespersonでなくspokesmanになっています。何か意図があるのでしょうか。 男尊女卑の地金が出ただけでしょう。

これはいわゆる間接話法ですので、us はおかしいです。 記事を書いた人が客観的に表わしただけです。 the ～となっているように、これは Islamic State と同じものです。 英語でよく見られる手法で、特定のもので、途中、he/she/it と代名詞としながら、 急に the ～と際立たせることがあります。 これを「その」と訳してしまうとピントがぼけて、せめて「この」とでもしないといけません。 spokesperson というのは political correctness と言って、 日本語では「看護婦」が「看護師」になったごとくです。 -man は人の意味で男女両方使うのですが、「男性」の意味にとられかねない。 policeman が police officer などもそうです。 男性だとわかっているから spokesman でいいわけでなく、 日本語でも女性とわかってても看護婦と言わないのと同じ。 途中で spokesman としたのはちょっとしたミス？か気まぐれか。 これも無理やり日本語ではつい、看護婦といってしまうような。
