この文でFor the life of meという部分を他の言い方にする場合、どういう言い方があるでしょうか? No matter how hard I try, I cannoy remember the name. など。

恐らく、簡単な事だとは思うのですが辞書を見てもどうしても解らないので教えてください rememberという単語について教えてください リーダーズと英辞郎では自動詞と他動詞どちらにも 違った意味の言葉が載っています 思い出す、憶えている これらは日本語ではまったく意味が違いますよね？（たぶん・・・自信消失） 思い出す＝記憶したことを忘れていた 憶えている＝記憶した時から忘れていない 有ってますよね？ 辞書からはどちらとも取れるこの訳では I remember. Remember. Remember you. I remember you. これはどうやって判断したらいいのでしょうか？ ばかばかしいと思われるかも知れませんがよろしくお願いします

10年くらい前にEnglish Journalだかの雑誌にて Speaking of the devils というフレーズを見て、面白い言い方だったので、すぐに覚えました。 最近、ふとこのフレーズを辞書で調べると出てこないのに気づきました。調べたのは以下の辞書です。 - alcの英辞郎 - gooの英和辞書 - オックスフォード現代英英辞典 - ジーニアス英和辞典 一般的に「噂をすれば」というのはSpeaking of the devilsを使わずに他の言い方を使うのでしょうか? ちなみにalc英辞郎で「噂をすれば」で検索しても該当項目がないようでした。

- 『動作確認環境』は英語で？
ホームページにて、OSはWinでブラウザはIE6などどいうように、動作確認環境を述べているものを見かけますが、あれを英語で表現するとどうなるのでしょうか。 英辞郎というオンライン辞書で検索をかけてみますと『checking of operations』や『operation check』と出たので、これをexciteで検索してみましたが、windowsやIEという文字は一緒に出ませんでした。 英語で一般的に使われている単語や言い回しがございましたら、お教え下さい。
