こんにちは。 お世話になります。 英語初学者です。 英文を読んでいたら、潜水艦に乗っているシーンで、次のような描写が有りました。 ‟Sing a song?”said professor Tangle. ‟There’s no time for that. There’s far too much to do.” という英文が有り、上から２番目の文、There’s far too much to doの意味が 訳を含めましていまいちよく分りません。 いったい、どのような意味の英文なのでしょうか？ どなたか、教えては下さいませんでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いいたします。

There is also much to be said for the self-confidence that comes from being able to appear on stage in front of hundreds of people. という英文で、訳は「何百人もの人々の前で舞台に上がることができるということから生まれる自信にも、多くの利点がある」だそうです。 なんとなくそんな風になるのはわかるのですが、" to be said for"の部分が、訳の中でどんな役割を果たしているのかがイマイチわかりません。 どなたか、よろしくお願いします。

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PejD7Kjw_i0 上記3:12あたりで以下の文が出てきます。 if there's going to be a league for it, it's got to be interesting to watch if there's going to be a league for itこれはわかりますが、be got toがわかりません。翻訳にかけると「そのためのリーグがあるとしたら、見るのは面白くなければなりません」と出ますが、be get toで調べても、しなければならないという意味はbe got toにはなさそうです。よろしくお願いします。

(1)Who is to blame for the delay? 「遅れたのはだれの責任なのか？」 (2)Everybody said that I was to blame for the accident.「事故は私のせいであると言った。」 辞書で調べても blame・・ for the 事「そのことのために（に向いて）～を責める」などのような訳がありますよね、 「責められる」という意味がないと思うのですが、 (1)のI was to～なら「私が～のことで責める（ことになっている）」のようにはなりませんか？ (2)も「Whoがfor the delayのことで 責める（誰をかは言われてないですが・・）」にはとれませんか？ to be blamed for なら わかるのですが・・・辞書からだけでは (1)でwhoが せめられる(2)ではI が責められる。とは なかなか理解ができないのです。 教えていただきたいです。宜しくお願いいたします。

There's been a lot of times though in the band situation where there's been some deep wounds. Like that press conference they put together in 1996, after canceling three shows. The same stuff was going on with certain members of the band, that I was doing at that time. That was that time, I'm not making an excuse for it, it was a horrible time in my life. As well there were a lot of great things going on in my life, but that part of it was miserable. But I don't think at all that there needed to be a press conference to out me publicly, that was my own business.
