pay walls the route to obscurity payは 不可算名詞で”報酬を受ける”のような意味合いがある wallは 他動詞で邪魔をする、または、壁を作る、壁で遮る のような意味として使える obscurityは being unknown being unknown to the place/people すれば、報酬を得ることは未知の人々や事柄への道を閉ざす。 只ならば向こうから寄ってくる、当然、知らない人や物事がでも金を取れば近づくものも限られるという意味

なるほど、has become を補うと意味がなんとなくわかりました。 「無料がデフォルトになり、そして、賃金の壁は、あいまいになった。」のような感じでしょうか。 ところで、動詞をこのような形で省略することは、よくあるのでしょうか？
