朝日新聞の４コマ漫画の描写を英語にして英作文を練習している者です。 次の英文から状況が読み取れるかお聞きしたいです。また、文法間違い英語表現の間違いなどご指摘していただけるとありがたいです。 When a mother-in-low was just going out to a store, her daughter-in-low tried to ask for shopping. However, she couldn't remember a thing she wanted, so she decided to go along with her mother-in-low. She could't remember it on the way. Even while she was shopping, she could't remember it after all. Her mother-in-low thought that she should't have brought along her daughter-in-low.

こんにちは。 英語を独学で始めた者です。 未熟な質問になってしまいますが、よろしくお願いします。 「 She hurries back up after him. 」 という英文の、 hurries back up after についてですが、これは、 hurry back 「急いで帰る」 hurry up 「急ぐ」 hurry after A 「急いでAを追いかける」 が１つになったものですか？ この「hurry」は自動詞であっていますか？ だとすれば、「him」の前に前置詞が必要(?)だと思うのですが、 どこまでが副詞でどこまでが前置詞なのか、よくわかりません。 あと、もしも１つの動詞に副詞がいくつか続く場合、 副詞の順番に決まりなどあるのでしょうか？

否定疑問文と付加疑問文 否定疑問文と付加疑問文が混在することはあるのでしょうか？ 先日このような文を見かけました。 “彼女は公園にいかなかったんだよね？” “Didn’t she go to th e park,did she?” あれ？否定疑問文と付加疑問文が混在してるぞ？と。 文のニュアンス的には以下のように付加疑問文で表されるのが妥当だと思います。 “She didn’t go to the park,did she?” 仮に、 “彼女は公園に行かなかったの？” ならば、 “Didn’t she go to the park?” というように否定疑問文で表されるのが自然だと思いますが、 なぜ上記のような日本語訳を英訳するにあたって、否定疑問文と付加疑問文が混在するのでしょうか？ このような文法表現があるのでしょうか。 お詳しい方、お教えいただければ幸いです。 ちなみに他にも否定疑問文と付加疑問文を合わせた、 “彼はお腹がすいてなかったんだよね？” “Wasn’t he hungy,was he?” などのような文もたくさん載っていました。 さらに最早否定疑問文でさえもない、 “Does she play the piano,doesn’t she?” のような疑問文と付加疑問文の混在文も載っていました。
