would rather ～ than という表現で質問があります。 「嘘をつくよりはむしろ何も言いたくない」は I would rather say nothing than tell a lie. となります。 これがもし過去についてで、 「嘘をつくよりはむしろ何も言いたくなかった」としたければ I would rather have said nothing thanのあとは have told a lie でしょうか。 それとも tell a lieやtold（過去形） a lieなどでしょうか。 そもそも実際はこのような回りくどい表現などは使いませんか？ I prefered saying nothing to telling a lie. だとスマートですが、今から後悔しているwould ratherと過去の感情であるpreferedではニュアンスに違いがあるかと思い困っています。

- caprovids の正確な訳語を教えてください
興味があってnabta playaのことを調べていて、「caprovids」という単語に出会いました。文章は「 A few hundred years later, around 8100 years ago (7100 bp, uncalibrated), sheep and goats occur for the first time at Nabta, almost certainly introduced from Southwest Asia, where domestic caprovids had been known for over 2000 years. 」です。辞書になくどう訳して良いのか分かりません（OEDは未だなのですが、遠くまで行かなければならず(>_<)）。検索すると「羊と山羊」のことらしいのですが、どなたか「正確な訳語」をお教えください、よろしくお願いします。
