英文解釈の参考書に It is not a question of what you can do but of when you can do it. (君に何ができるかではなく、それができる時期が問題だ。) とありました。 私は、 It is a question of what you can do but of when you can do it. という英文を作ると、上述の和訳の意味になるような気がしてしまうのです。なぜ、最初に書いた英文が、その直後の和訳になるのでしょうか？

『do one's thing』という意味を教えてもらいたいと思っています。 『he is still doing his thing.』 上記の文はどのように訳したらいいのでしょうか？ “彼はまだ、彼のすることをしています”では、前後の文と意味があいません。 ネット上で、『I jusy do my thing. 』（意味不明）という言葉をよく見つけるので、『do one's thing』は熟語の一つかと思っています。 分かる方がいましたら、教えてください。

英文解釈です。大学受験問題なのですが、なんだか、意味もよくわかりませんし、文構造もよくわかりません。とくにpeople you feel reasonably sure will find ～の周辺が、どういう文構造になっているのかわかりません。お力のある方、お知恵をお貸しください。 The purpose of a social note of introduction is to bring together people you feel reasonably sure will find pleasure and enjoyment in each other's company.

現在，大学受験をしている高校生です。過去問をやっていて，訳は載っているのですが，英語の構文，構造がとれないのがあったので，教えて下さい。 California is about as far from the original 13 colonies of America as one can get and still be on mainland America. という文で，訳出が「カリフォルニアは，アメリカ建国当時の13の植民地からかなり遠いのは事実であるが，アメリカ本土にあることには変わりない。」 となっているのですが，about as ～as one canのところの文のとり方やstillの意味がいまいちよく分かりません。 この文構造を教えて下さい。よろしくお願いします。
