以下の英文をどなたか添削していただけないでしょうか。 I didn't know that the establishment of the Church of England had such background. I guess I have to study more about the history of England itself. There are indeed churches in Japan, too - perhaps at least one in every town. I myself went to church every week when I was a child, but this wasn't actually from any religious faith - I just liked the sweets that the clergyman always gave me! Recently, I attend church only from time to time, only when I want to think deep inside myself, or to think something over. こんにちは。また教えてください。 高校入試の英文和訳問題です。 (問)He never had enough food to give to someone else. (答)彼には他の者に分けてやれるだけの食べ物はなかった。 で、私の質問ですが、 （答）の和文を英訳した時 He didn`t have enough food to give to someone else. でも間違いではないですよね？。私的にはneverは苦手と言うか使いにくい感じがします。neverは「決して～ない」など「強い否定」を表すときに使うイメージがあるのです。上の和文は「自分の食べる分はあるけど、人に上げる分まではない」ととれますのでneverには違和感があるのです。英訳の問題には答えがいくつあってもいいとは思いますが、ニュアンスの違いなど教えていただければ有り難いです。
