英訳の添削お願いします!!
あのときは時間がなくて、いつかまた話したいなと思っていたのですが、なかなか双方の都合が合わなくて会えないですね… という日本文を 下記のように書きました I'm afraid I didn't have any time to talk with you at that time and thought that I want to talk again sometime, but both conveniences don't readily suit and so we can't meet…. 添削お願いいたします。 目上の方への手紙文ですのでできれば丁寧語を使いたいのですが…。

うーんと、私個人の意見なので過信はしないでくださいね。 ＞I'm afraid I didn't have ”any time” to talk with you at that time and thought that "I want to" talk again sometime, but both conveniences don't readily suit and so we can't meet…. any time → enough time I want to → I'd like to 英語では日本語のように丁寧語、謙譲語、尊敬語などの区別はそんなにないように思います。 強いて言うなら英語の普通の文章を省略せずにいえばそれが丁寧語になり、会話用語ではなしたり、スラングを使うとそれが普通語になるような気がします。 例文・それはまだ仕度できてません →It has not been ready yet.(お客に使われる丁寧語・尊敬語？) →Hasn't yet!(客、同僚などに使われる普通の会話語) →Fuck off! (ボスが部下に言う時に使われる言い方。注・一応、法律に触れます。) なので日本語をそのまま英語に直訳すると理解が難しくなる傾向があります。 だからシンプルな文章で書くといいです。 ＞あのときは時間がなくて、いつかまた話したいなと思っていたのですが、なかなか双方の都合が合わなくて会えないですね… We hardly meet each other by our busy situations, even though I'd like to talk with you again on someday. そんな感じです。 Good Luckです。

長くてちょっと回りくどいように思えますね。 自分なら「お会いしたい」そして「でも現実は会えない」という２点をふまえて、 I wish I could see you again. 英語はこれだけで「とっても会いたいです。でも都合で会えないのですよね。」という表現が出来ます。"I want to see you"だと「会いたいです」とお願いしている意味にも受け取られかねませんが、上の文なら「会わない」という前提で「会いたい」という話が出来ます。 前回は一言も話せなかったのですか？ なら、 I'm afraid I didn't have any time to talk with you at that time. を入れてもいいと思いますが、少しでも話したならこの表現は不相応かもしれません。

ふと、「残念だ」の英訳を知りたいと思いました。 思っていた通りに物事が進まなかった時、「残念だ」という気持ちがでてきます。 ここで、 1) 人に向かって言う時 2) 独り言を言う時 の「残念だ」の英訳はどういうものになるでしょうか? 1)の場合 I am afraid that it didn't work out (as I expected). が妥当でしょうか? 2)の場合 自分に言うので、とくにフォーマル/インフォーマル関係なしでいいと思います。 I am afraid ... What a shame. It's a pity. などがあると思いますが、他にもありますでしょうか?

私は茂木健一郎さんの「僕たちは美しく生きていけるのだろうか」という本に大いに感銘を受けた。この本では「心が美しいということ」を題材に話が進められている。私は心が美しいということはありのままの自分を認めて、精一杯生きることだと思った。忙しい日々が毎日単調に過ぎていくなかで、ふと人生について考え、何か時が止まったような思いがした。 I was very impressed by the book written by Kenichiro Mogi. The title is can we live beautifuly? The main subject in the book is to keep your heart beautiful. I think that means you should accept what you are and enjoy your life. While I am busy studying every day,I didn't know why,but I thought about my life, and this book made me feel that the time stops. ←最後の文は本当に表現がでてこなくて変な文だと思いますが… ご指導のほど宜しくお願いいたします。

またまた英文日記を書いてみました。文法的な間違いや、表現のおかしい部分などがあれば、直していただけると助かります(^^)ネイティブならこんな表現をするなど、指摘してくださると,なおうれしいです(^^) Tomorrow is the St. Valentine's day, so I thought that I would buy my husband a box of chocolate. At the same time, I remembered that I didn't buy him any presents these years. This morning I asked him what he wants except chocolate, and he answered he wanted the lighter. I went to the shopping mall and found the lighter that he will probably like it. I hope he will be pleased to see it.

訳したので添削してください。 勇気のある人についてにプレゼンをします。 文が少し足りないので足してもらっていただけたら嬉しいです。だいたい2分～3,4分くらいでプレゼンしたいと思います。 添削だけでも結構です。 または、全く違う勇気がある人についての話があれば書いてほしいです。 これが、自分が考えた文です。 クラスのある人がいじめられていた。 私は見て見ぬふりをしていた。 だか、私の友達はいじめられていた人を助けようとしていた。 もし、助けて次にいじめの標的にされるかもしれないというのに。 だか、彼は助けた。 彼は悪い人たちにいじめをするなと説得した。 結局、いじめはなくなり、その友達もいじめられることはなかった。 私はその友達はとても勇気があるなと思った。 私もこのように勇気のある人になりたいと思いました。 One of my classmate was treated as a tool. I closed my eyes . However,my friend was going to help the person. If he help the person, the next bullying target he will be come. But,he helped him. He persuade the bad guys dont bullying others. In the end, bullying stopped and my friend did not become the target of bullying. I thought my friend had courageous. I thought that I would also like to become as courageous as he was.
