和訳を教えてくださいm(_ _)m
和訳の宿題をしているのですが 文の要旨がわからずこまっています。どなたかアドバイスをお願いします。 うつ病の一種の季節性情動障害（SAD)についての文です。 SAD should not be confused with the winter blahs. It goes well beyond eating and sleeping more in the winter, which most of us do. It 以下の文が何を言いたいのかよくわかりません。 どなたかアドバイスをよろしくお願いします.

SADは、冬季の落ち込みと混同されてはならない。SADは、冬に食事量と睡眠量が増加するというだけのことではない。食事量と睡眠量の増加なら、我々のほとんどがそうなる。 というようなことだと思います。

「大抵の人たちがするように冬に食事量と睡眠時間が増える、という以上の事です」 go well beyondの所が「～以上の事」という意味です。「SADはただ単に食事量と睡眠時間が増えるだけの事ではない」という事が言いたいのだと思います。ここでのitはSADの事ですね。（winter blahsはwinter blueのこと…だと解釈しました。）

冬にいっぱい食べて眠りにつき冬を越えます。私たちはたいていそれを行います。 みたいな感じなハズです・・・。 あまり自信がないですが・・・。

She is in the process of leading her team of 12 dogs through one of the more difficult dog sled races around - the 'Atta Boy 300'race. The Atta Boy is a Staged race that lasts for seven days and goes through the cascade Mountains. It is divided into seven timed legs, or sections, that total 300 miles. It is early morning on day five of the race. Rachael is getting ready for a long 35-mile run through the mountains. Being a dog sled competitor would be difficult enough for any 16-year-old. 中野幾雄著「技術英語攻略法」 （株）工業調査会 発行 のp215に次の英作文例があります。 和文： 塗装の仕上げが必ずうまく行くと言う訳ではない。 従って，車全体を処理する前に，見えにくい部分にそれを試しにやってみることである。 訳例： It is not always successful on a painted finish. ---(第１文) Before treating the whole car, it should be tried on a inconspicuous part. ---(第2文) 質問： (1) 訳例の(第１文)を導き出す前に次の様な説明があります。 Painted finish is not always (necessarily) successful. “これは仮主語・真主語のスタイルと言うわけではないが，itを主語として，「それは塗装仕上げの上において，～ではない」と言うようにも出来る。 英語独特の表現である。” と言う説明があって，訳例の(第１文)が記されています。 どう考えても，訳例の(第１文)の主語Itが何を指すか判断できません。 著者の書いている様に「それは塗装仕上げの上において，必ず上手く行くわけではない」としか，訳し出せません。 やはりItは何を指しているか分かりません。 著者の言う様に，この様な英語独特の表現があるのでしょうか？ しかも，仮主語・真主語のスタイルではないと著者は言っています。 訳例の(第2文)のIt should be tried on an inconspicuous part. のItは”painted finish”とは理解できるのですが， どうしても訳例の(第１文)の主語Itが何を指すか判断できません。 この著者の言わんとしていたことは，何であったのでしょうか，宜しくご教示お願いします。 (2) (第１文)の日本文は「上手く行くと言う訳ではない。」・・・これを次の様に表現してはダメでしょうか？ 著者は“「うまくゆかない」の「ゆく」はgoだなどと考えてはならない。 これは「成功的に(なる)」と言う考え方をとり，形容詞のsuccessfulを使うのが最良の方法である。” 私は Paint finish does not always goes well. ・・・としたのですが，これでは通じませんでしょうか？ 以上よろしく宜しくご教示お願いします。
