keep とobeyの違い

We must ●●　the rules （私たちは規則を守らないといけない） She will　●●　her idea at the next meeting (彼女は次の会議で意見を述べるつもりである） 以上の２つの文の日本語訳は正解だという前提で、 共通して入る●●は keepとobeyのどちらが適切でしょうか？ そもそも、keepまたはobeyで合っているのでしょうか？

上に当てはまるのは，keep, obey の他，follow, observe などです。 このうち，下に当てはまるのは observe だけです。

守るの意味で obey, keep のいずれかという前提で 規則を「守る」のは obey です。ただし hold by などもあります。 考え方を守るのは keep でしょうが、keep は keep her idea a secret などのように何か意味を補って用いる方が自然なので、ここでは stand up for などの方がよいかも知れません。「述べる」という意味では express, state, deliver などがあります。
