finishの使い方

主語が人の時は、自動詞の finish もよく使われます。 主語がものの時も、自動詞の finish を使いますが、なんでもＯＫではないようです。劇 戦争 コンサート などが主語の時は、普通に使います。この当たりが英語の難しいところで、日本語ではＯＫだからといって、英語でもＯＫかというと、そうならないことがよくあります。finish も come to an end もほとんど同じ意味ですが、微妙なニュアンスの違いがあります。 finish を使っても通じますが、主語が construction の時は、 come to an end の方が natural だと思います。

- 「～になってくる」の訳し方
「～になってくる」の訳し方が知りたいです。 例えば「しだいに彼は一時間では食事がし終わらないようになってきた。」だったら、 自分では Gradually he couldn't finish to eat an meal in an hour. と書いてみたのですが、これでは、単に「しだいに彼は一時間では食事がし終わらなかった」ですよね。 「～になる」については「come to」という単語を思いついたのですが、couldとうまくつなげられません。

文法事項で二つ質問です (1)「ここ～年間」という意味で、for～ と for the past～ の違いがよくわかりません。 (2) 「工事はあと三週間もすれば終わるでしょう」 という文で、 The construction work will be finished in another three weeks. となっていましたが、これをwill have been finishedと未来完了形にしてもいいのでしょうか？ 以上２点よろしくお願いします。

- riseとraiseについて
Many people are trying to buy a house before the consumption tax［ ］ in April. (1)is raised (2) is risen (3) will be risen (4) will raise 解答は「選択肢は受け身（be動詞＋過去分詞）になっています。受け身は（上げられる）だから、自動詞riseは使えません。よって答えは(1)」 と書いてあるのですが、(1)の他動詞のraiseだと目的語を取らないといけなくて、英文には前置詞inがあるので自動詞riseの(2)か(3)じゃないといけない気がするのですが、なんでなのでしょうか？
