中2の英語が分からなくて、困ってます
「八幡浜はみかんで有名です。」という英文を書く場合 「Yawatahama is famous for oranges.」で合っていますか？ orangeの後にsを付けるのか付けないのか分からないのですが・・・。 あと「We can make notebooks from old paper.」という英文の fromとoldの間にanを入れなくても良いのですか？ よろしくお願いします。

あっ忘れてました！ paperは不可算名詞なので数えられません。 a piece of paper とかよく使いますよね？ だから、paperで大丈夫です。
補足
なるほど、解決しました。 ありがとうございます。 「be famous for」の後ろは単数になるとか そういう決まりはないのでしょうか？ 「Osaka is famous for takoyaki.」という英文が参考書にあって、たこ焼きが単数になっていました。 ということは、みかんも単数になるのでしょうか？ 何度もすみません。

aを付けたら１枚の紙でノートを作るんですか？ それはないですよね。 一般的なことはa もtheもつけません。 例えば、「犬はかわいい」は Dogs is prety. となったような… 曖昧ですみません。

なるほど、確かにそうですね。 ありがとうございます。 ではpapersとした方が良いのでしょうか？ 教科書ではpaperとなっているのですが、どうしてでしょうか？ 二度もすみません。

theをつけてしまったら、「その紙」という風に紙を指定してしまいます。 一般的なものは冠詞はつけないと思います。

oranges paper であってます。 papersとするときは書類を意味します。 we manufacture/make notebooks from old/waste paper. waste paper を使ったほうがいいかもしれません。

paperの前にtheなどを付けて 単数と指定しなくても 構わないのでしょうか？

このサイトは英語に堪能な方が沢山いらっしゃいますので、また質問させて戴きます。 日本ではインド関連の情報やニュースはよく入りますが、イランのことは余り入りませんよね。少なくとも私にとってはそうなんですが、これを英語でスマートに表現したいのです。つまり、日本語は 「日本には、インドからのニュースや情報ほどは、イランからのそれは余り入らない」--日本語も余りスマートじゃありませんが・・(^_^;) 私の英訳は「We cannot get as much news from Iran as we can from India.」ですが、この英文、文法的には間違ってないですね？ 他に適当な言い方があれば教えて下さい。
