VOAの記事を読んでいたのですが、以下の文をどう訳してよいかわからないので、よろしければ教えてください。 thatはcreatures に係っているのかなとも思うのですが、to thoseが良く分かりません。 「The fossils are from creatures as small as insects to those that were bigger than a modern elephant.」

その化石(複数)は昆虫みたいに極小さい生物から(を始め)今の象よりもっと大きかった生物迄で成り立っていた(化石はそれらが種々入り交じってた)。 from 小さな昆虫 to 今の象より大きかった生物 from (aaa) to (bbb) (aaa)から(bbb)迄 those = creatures
