こんにちわ。 単純に、it feels like fall.とか、it feels like fall is here. あと、季節って匂いで感じることも多いですよね。だから、it smells like fall.もみんなよく言いますよ。 fallをautumnに代えると、ちょっと詩的な感じもして、書き言葉のときはいい感じかなあと思います。 お役に立てば嬉しいです。

Someone from my company is coming to pic me up to take me to the airport. この文の構成で、まずis comingという現在形の理由がわかりません、 そして、to pic me upとto take me はおのおの不定詞と考えて良いのでしょうか? このような分はpicとtakeを、迎えにきて、そして(and)空港へ連れてゆく とおもいますが、 何して、何して、何してとandでなく不定詞で繋ぐことができると考えれば良いのでしょうか？ すみません、どなたか指導をお願いします。

(1) If you are coming、 text me. →上記、If節の「are coming」を「come」にすることはできないと、イギリス人英語教師に習いました。 しかし以下(1)と(2)の文をテキストで見つけました。 (2) If I'm going to the beach later, I'll call you.
