手持ちの英英辞書に載っていたので引用します。 an instrument for measuring how far you have walked (Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, Oxford University Press) ですが、これは歩数よりも距離を重視した言い方になるので 「万歩計」という日本語のニュアンスとは少し異なるかと思います。 pyaraさんの使っている歩数を重視した言い方が良いでしょう。 さて、"that is an instrument of which to count how much steps has made by person in a day." についてですが、まず"of which"が何の為にあるのか自分には読み取れませんでした。 "an instrument to count ～"で大丈夫ですし、もしくは上記の英英辞書の記述を借りて "an instrument for counting ～"でも良いかと思います。 次に"how much steps"という表現。stepは一歩、二歩と『数えることの出来る』歩みのことです。 数えることの出来る名詞にはmuchでは無くmanyを使います。逆に不可算名詞にはmuchを。 なのでここは"how many steps"とします。 それから"has made"。この部分は"have been made"と受動態にするべきでしょう。 ここでは"(how many) steps"が主語として働いています。"steps"は"person"によって 『作られる』ものですから、受け身の表現がしっくりきます。 まとめると -that is an instrument to count how many steps have been made by you in a day -that is an instrument for counting how many steps have been made by you in a day と言うことが出来ると思います。 長々と書きましたがNo.1の方の回答がシンプルで良いかと；

A pedometer is measuring instrument for recording the number of steps taken in walking. と書いてある英英辞典がありました。

you remind me how so much depends on days made of now. この文なのですが、 you remind me の後の訳が難しいです。 主語はhow so much depends on daysで動詞がmade of でnowが目的語でしょうか？ どれだけその日その日が今を作っているかという事をあなたは私に思い出させてくれる。 という感じでしょうか？ またもしmade ofが動詞なら、 nowは名詞扱いだから前置詞が必要なのですか？ 初心者で恥ずかしいのですが、分かる方がおられましたらご助言をお願いします。 宜しくお願いします。

~how many steps have been made by you in a day ですね。 of which を入れたのは、詳しく説明するのには関係代名詞が必要かと思い入れてしまいましたが、必要ないようですね。 how many, how much の違い、基本ですが感覚的なとっさの使い分けは難しいです・・。 細かい表現の例示、大変参考になりました。回答ありがとうございます。
