is salvaged というのは、 （再利用のために、）"回収" されている ということだと思います。 で、at least temporarily（少なくとも一時的には） のようにあるのは、 "少なくとも回収の時点では" というような意味合いで 書かれているんじゃないかと思います。 というのは、 その回収された 25% が、最終的にしっかりリサイクル（再利用）に回っているのかどうかまでは、 たぶん統計上の制約などで確かめられていないんじゃないかと思います。 ---- 『自治体ごみの 25 %が、少なくとも一時的には、 何らかの２次利用のために回収されている。』 --

The kids, chimps and orangs would have to be sophisticated enough to know that the object disappearing from view didn't mean it stopped existing, and had to be able to figure out where it had gone. But through using this sort of computer generation,and then asking people what they think of this face,what they think of that face,scientists have come to some sense as to what really makes a face attractive,both within cultures and across cultures. And that's something which we're going to devote some time to when we talk about social behavior,and in particular,when we talk about sex .Not all attractiveness,not all beauty of course,is linked to sex. So,pandas for instance,like this panda,are notoriously cute,and I don't have anything to say about it really. It's just a cute picture(laughter).
