In her works is "London Aquatics Center" and so on. この言い方があるかどうか知りませんが聞いたことはありません。また、あったとしてもand so onはつけられないと思います。 同じことを言う言い方で、 Among her works is "London Aquatics Center". の様な言い方は良くします。これは、倒置になっていて、"London Aquatics Center" が主語、is が動詞、among her worksが補語。なので、and so on を付けると意味が「ロンドン・アクアティクス・センターは彼女の作品とそのようようなものの中にあります」みたいな意味に聞こえおかしいです。 works はここでは作品と言う名詞で使われていますが、create は”創作する”と言う動詞。works と比べるとしたら、creation (作品、創作物）かと思いますが、意味としては、works of art の様に芸術的な仕事の結果を表すよりも、result of creation の様な製作活動の結果のようなイメージがあるので、建築物の様に建築家が建てるものでない場合はピンときません。彫刻とか絵画だったらわかります。でも一般的には作品はworksでしょうね。 In を入れる入れないですが、上に書いたようにそもそもこの言い方を聞いたことが無いのでなんとも言えません。ただ、もしIn her works is ... がAmong her works is ...の様に倒置で言えたとして、In を取ってしまうと、Her works is ... で複数形の主語・名詞にis と単数形のbe 動詞がつながり非文です。 Her works are "London Aquatics Center" and so on. 「彼女の作品はロンドンアクアティックすセンターとそのようなものだ」ちょっといい方がおかしいですね。

＃１です。補足です。 ＞＞では、workでも伝わるが、今回の例の場合だと、createの方が適切でしょうか？ 論文なら work、広告なら create でしょうね。

１。In her works is "London Aquatics Center" and so on. でいいのでしょうか？ はい、いいと思います。 ２。調べるとcreateという言葉も出てきました。workとcreate、何か違いはありますか？ work はただの作品、「これまで無かったところに彼（彼女）が初めて作り出した、全く新しいもの」が createです。これは質の差、と言うよりは贔屓目のあるなし、でしょう。 ２。そして、この英文は正しいでしょうか？ はい、通じます。 ３。また、今回初めにIn を入れていますが、入れるのと、入れないのとではどう違いますか？ 入れると「他にもあるが」と言う意味が加わります。

こんにちは。 お世話になります。 英語初学者です。 下記に挙げます二つの英文の違いが分からず、困り果てております。 1, Emma was the younger of two daughters but only she lived with her father with the family home. 2, Her sister Isabella lived in London with her husband and five children. 教えていただきたいのですが、なぜ、１の英文ではliveの後ろにwith、次にatと場所が来るのに、 2の文ではliveの後ろにinと場所が来て、その次にwithがくるのでしょうか？ 違いが全く分かりません。 両者で微妙なニュアンスが異なるのでしょうか？それとも、全く同じなのでしょうか？ どなたか、教えてはいただけないでしょうか？ 宜しくお願い致します。
