It's a pisser, though～
It's a pisser, though, isn't it? Cancer.They should find a fucking cure.They should pull their fucking fingers out. It's important. 親戚のお年寄りが死んだことを話題にしているときに、ひとりが言った言葉です。 聞いた相手が、あまりいい顔をしていないので、よくないことを言っているのかと思うのですが、意味が分かりません。どんな意味なのか、教えていただけないでしょうか。よろしくお願いいたします。

pisserは辞書に載っていると思いますが、スラングで、どう訳すか迷います。 http://eowp.alc.co.jp/search?q=%5bpisser%5d&ref=crx その後のfucking２つは、いわゆるf-wordsなので、意味としては乱暴で悪態を付いたような感じですが、アメリカでは（女性も含めて）かなりカジュアルに使われます。訳すときは一旦、削除して訳して、そのあとで、悪態をついたようなニュアンスを加えれば良いです。 「しかし、滅入るよな。癌だ。奴らは、どんなでも治療法を見つけるべきだ。くそやろうどもは、必死で働くべきだ。当たり前のことだ。」見たいな意訳ですかね。 pull one's fingers out で、「懸命に働き出す。発奮する。」 http://eowp.alc.co.jp/search?q=pull+one%27s+finger ですが、fuckingを挿入されても、この慣用句の意味を変えて日本語にするのは難しいです。英語では、「くそったれのいまいましい指を引っこ抜いて」となると思いますが。 意味はともかく、表現の問題もあるし、実際の言い方の問題もあるでしょうが、分だけ見ていても、人が死んだ後に出てくる言葉として、感情的です。

17歳のカルテという映画を見ていて気になったフレーズです。 スザンナという主人公が精神科病棟で二年を過ごして、回復し、社会に復帰する、そのエンディングで流れるスザンナのナレーション中の一文です。 crazy isn't being broken or swallowing a dark secret. it's you or me amplified. （訳）狂っているといっても、心がばらばらに壊れているわけじゃないし、暗い秘密を抱えているわけじゃない。誰にだってあること。 このit's you or me amplifiedの意味がなんで「誰にだってあること」になるのかがいまいちしっくりきません。ここでのmeはスザンナのことですね。 amplifyの使い方をよく理解していないためしっくりこないのかもしれないと思っているのですが、どなたか少し説明していただけますでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。
