英語をどこで区切って良いのか判りません
私は英語が苦手です。 というか、殆ど判らないと言う方が正しいかな。 でも、ちょっとやりたい事があって教えて欲しいのですが、 英語の文章をある狭い範囲に書きたいと思っているのですが、どこで改行したら良いのかわかりません。 例えば Good fortune and happiness will come to the home of those who smile. という文章を区切る場合は、 Good fortune and happiness will come to the home of those who smile. 何となくこれで良いかなぁ、と思って例としてやってみました。 こんな切り方をして普通に読めますか？ うまい区切り方のポイントを教えて頂けると助かります。 もしくは、英文を打ち込んだら、上手く区切ってくれるフリーソフトなどありませんか？

基本的に、改行するときに単語の途中で区切る (単語を二つに分けるhapp-iness など)ことをしなければそんなに気にしなくていいと思います。だだ、あまり細かく区切らないで、なるべく長くした方が良いです。英語圏の人は、一つの文を途中で区切って話したりしないで最初から最後まで一気に話す習慣があります。なので、読むときもあまり区切りすぎないほうがいいでしょう。

あるクリスマスカードに添える文章なのですが、この英訳で大丈夫でしょうか？ おかしいところや、もっとこうした方が良いというアドバイスをお願いします。 日本語：「世界中の子供達が安心して遊び、安心して学び、安心して眠れる日が来ますように。 そして子供達の夢が叶いますように。 子供達の笑顔は何よりも私たちの財産です。 世界平和を願っています。」 私の英訳：「I hope the day that children in the world can play, learn and sleep without anxiety will come. And I hope children's dream will come true. Smile of children is our treasure first of all. I wish the peace of the world.」 頑張って訳しましたが、全く自信がありません。 宜しくお願いします。

英語でおしえてください。 東京人、大阪人、京都人のキャラクターあらわすジョークで、次のような文章があります。 The joke says that if the food is not good in a restaurant, the Tokyoites will eat silently, leave quickly and never come back again; the Osakan will complain noisily but continue to eat; and the Kyotoite will go and meet the manager discreetly after eating and tell him/her in a posh Kyoto accent that the food left to be desired. レストランでの食事がよくない場合のそれぞれの対応ですが、京都人の対応の意味がよくわかりません。 the food left to be desired とはどういう意味でしょうか？

へー、そうなんですか、 海外の人は一気に喋ってしまう感じなのですね。 ただ、ちょっとやりたい事は非常に限られた範囲に書きたいと思っており、 その枠には長い英単語が２句くらいしか入りません。 文字を小さくすれば入るでしょうけど、そうすると視認性の問題が出るので、今考えている文字サイズだと２単語（例ではGood fortune）くらいになります。 よくTシャツに英語が書いてありますが、あぁいったイメージです。 全面の限られた範囲で、人からの視認性を確保しつつ主張したいことはちゃんと理解して貰えるように書きたいと思ってます。 なるほど、 単語を無理やりぶつ切りしなければ、一応は理解してもらえるという事ですね。 参考になりました。 回答、ありがとうございました。
