お示しの式で単純に計算してみます。 0秒：1m ←t＝0で既に1m進んでいる 1秒：-8m 2秒：-11m 3秒：-8m 4秒：1m 5秒：16m ←問題の秒数 6秒：37m このようになります。式には初期条件として、初速やスタート地点がどうなのか、示されていません。正解が15mで間違いないとすると、式の計算ではなく、初期条件に原因がありそうです。 もしスタート地点が0mではなく、-1mであるなら、上記から距離を1m引けばよく、5秒目では距離は15mとなります。 初速が0でないと考えると、与えられた位置の式をtで微分して、またtで積分することになりますが、計算を省略すると右辺の最後の項の1を変えねばならないことが分かります。しかし、位置の式が既に確定して与えられているため、そのようにはできません。 お示しの範囲からは、スタート地点が-1mだったと考えるしかなさそうです。

#3です。 少し説明不足の気がしましたので補足します。 >An object moves s meters in t seconds according to the expression s = 3t^2 -12t +1 「物体がt秒の間に移動する距離sが = 3t^2 -12t +1である。」 上記は意訳ですが、移動距離としたのは、座標系の位置ではないという意図です。例えば、同じ1m進むとしても、座標系の原点、つまり位置測定する者から見て0mの位置からなのか、座標系の原点以外、例えば100mの位置からなのかで、座標系での位置は異なります。 お示しの問題では、そういうことがお示しの範囲外に書いてあるのではないか、と推測したのが先の回答になります。 P.S. もし問題がお示しの範囲だけしかないのなら、模範解答が単に1を足し忘れているといったこと、つまり設問・模範解答のミスだとせざるを得ません。設問者に確かめてみるべきではあるかと思います。

＞the fifth secondを5秒と訳すなら s=3*5^2-12*5+1=16で16mになります。 しかし、5秒は普通five seconds又は 5 secondsだと思うので、 the fifth secondには何か別の意味が あるのではないですか？

僕は数学は専門ではないのですが １。５秒間に動く距離 75－60＋1＝16m ２。４秒間に動く距離 48－48＋1＝1m ３。問いは Calculate the distance travelled in the fifth second ですから、５秒目は５秒間に動く距離16mから、４秒間に動く距離1mを引いた15mではないかと思います。

The distance travelled in x metres is given by : x(t) = 20t – 2t². Find the expression for speed and acceleration. 答えは画像の通りです。 x(t) = 20t – 2t²は The distance travelled in x metresを表す式なのにスピードを求めるのに何故x(t) = 20t – 2t²を微分するのか、その後アクセルを求めるのも同様にわかりません。 説明して頂けたら助かります、よろしくお願いします。

息子の学校であったテストです。 A rocket is fired into the air. The path of the rocket is given by the formula d=17t - t² where 'd' is the distance above the ground in meters and 't' is the time of flight in seconds. How long was the rocket 70 meters above the ground? まず70=17t - t²という式が出来上がり、 これを計算すると(t - 7)(t - 10)=0で、７秒又は１０秒が答えだと思ったのですが、答えは３秒でした。 この３秒は10-7からきているのですか？ だとしたら何故そうなるのかよくわかりません。 次に同じ様な問題があった場合に備えて答え方、考え方を教えて頂きたいです。 よろしくお願い致します。

英語の文法の質問です。 Sinji`s English was not very good,so his choice of word or expression probably offended them in some way Sinji didin`t realize. という文なのですが、最後の「Sinji didin`t realize」はsome way にかかるんですかね？ 私の訳は「シンジの英語はそんなに上手じゃなく、さらに、ことばの選びや表現が彼らを嫌な気持ちにさせたのだろう。」 となりin some way Sinji didin`t realize.の部分がうまく訳せません。 ご教授、お願い致します。
