Gです。 補足質問を読ませてもらいました. ＞"phone for message"と"phone in message"だとforを使った場合は聞きだすという意味が強くなるのでしょうか。 このinは入れる、提出する、相手の「中に」入れる、というフィーリングがあるわけですね. hand in his reportsで手渡して提出する、という意味になり、これに比べphone in his reportsで手渡すのではなく電話を使って提出する、という意味になります. 最近では、メールを使う事もあるわけですから、これをe-mail in his reportsという言い方をするわけですね. forには得る、手にする、というフィーリングを使っているわけです. 頑張って勝って! Go for it!という言い方と同じですね. We have a free gift for you. Please phone us for it!というような宣伝なんかで、ギフトを用意しましたので、それを(もらう為に)電話してください.という言い方をするわけです. 日常会話でも、Come over for a beer. 日本語では、ビールでも飲み来ないか.というフィーリングを、ビールを飲みに(ビールを得るために??)こいよ、という表現をしますね. ですから、He is so lazy and now used to phoning him his reports. So I don't see him at office at all!!というような言い方としてこの文章は使えるわけです. ご参考になれば嬉しいです.

phone in ～：～について電話で知らせる という言い回しがあるので、 例文は、「彼は電話で報告を入れることに慣れている」 何とも言えませんが、上記のような、慣用的な言い回しがあるのに、あえてforにすると、「報告」そのものを電話で伝えるのではなく、「報告」に関して、あらかじめ電話するようなニュアンスにとる人もあるかも知れません。しかし、たぶん、phone in と同じに取る人もいるでしょう。

「電話での報告に慣れている。」 phone in～で、～について電話報告する、～の件で電話を入れる、という意味です。

Gです。 私なりに書かせてくださいね。 phone inで一つの熟語となり、目的語が後に来れば他動詞に、を電話で連絡する、を電話で伝える、という意味になります. call in も同じように使われます. phone forという言い方をすると、を得るために、聞くために電話する、ということになってしまい、意味が変わってきます. しかし、phone for his reportsではｎ意味自体が通じなくなります. phone for messagesであればどちらもつかえることになります. これでいかがでしょうか。 分かりにくい点がありましたら、補足質問してください。
