WindowsXPのPCにてリカバリー後にアプリケーションをインストールする手順時にアプリケーションDiscを入れ、「Y」を押した後、 A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.if this screen appears again,follow these steps: check for viruses on your computer.Remove any newly installed hard drivers or hard drive controllers .check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. デバイスドライバ破損、IRQ または I/O ポート アドレスの競合、ブート ボリュームが破損と 原因は色々ありますが、HDDの先頭セクタが読み込めなくなってしまうケースが何度かありました。 ダメ元で挑戦してみて下さい。 HDDの先頭セクタを修復するだけで直ればしめたものです。

どぞ。 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324103/ja http://orbit.cocolog-nifty.com/supportdiary/2010/04/stop-0x0000007b.html ぶっちゃけ言うと「HDD内の起動プロセスが壊れてるよ」と言う エラーで、原因としてウイルスとか、ドライバとか色々書かれて ますが、実務上は「HDDが死にかけ」の方がありそうです。
