英語の訳についての疑問
We are hoping to offer a prize for the person at the party with the best costume. As the owner of the largest electronics store in Arnfield, perhaps you would consider donating something that we could give to the winner.(私たちはパーティーで仮装大賞を該当者に贈りたいと思っています。アーンフィールドで最大の電器店のオーナーとして、受賞者に贈る物を寄付することをご検討いただけませんでしょうか。) 二つ目の文章は疑問文ではなく、疑問詞もないのに、なぜ疑問の訳になっているのか全くわからないので、詳しい文法の解説をしていただきたいです。よろしくお願い致します。

これは文法でなく、語用論の分野ですね。 １。perhaps you do not mind opening the window 文法： あなたはその窓を開けることを気にしない、という平叙文 語用： 窓を開けて下さい、という要請 ２。 perhaps you would consider donating 文法： あなたは寄付することを考慮にお入れになる、と言う平叙文 語用： お高く止まっていねえで金出せってんだよこの金持ち野郎、という命令を丁寧に言う時。 もちろん、「寄付することをご検討いただけませんでしょうか」という上品な疑問にもなります。 例えば「こんな馬鹿なことをしでかす奴がどこにいるか？」というのは、文法的には疑問文ですが、「はい山梨県山梨郡山梨村にいます」とは普通答えないと思います。 というのは聞き手が、これは疑問文の形はしているが、答えを求めているのではない、という日本語の語用の慣習を知っているからだと思います。 要は、文の「言いたいこと」が大切なので、語法の違う２言語間で原文が○○文だから、訳文も同じ〇〇文でなくちゃいけない、というのは、どこかの国だけではないかと思います。
