I do love T Swift but yeah this new song has a very obviously borrow from “next to me” by Emeli Sande. Same part, same key. Why not just borrow the exact melody and give her publishing? At least then its a formal nod in her direction followed up by royalties.

"Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we've admired for a long time," said Dean DeLeo. "We know LINKIN PARK will always be his priority, but we thought it would be cool to try something together. First of all they don't have the legal right to call themselves STP because I'm still a member of the band. And more importantly, they don't have the ethical right to call themselves Stone Temple Pilots because it's misleading and dishonest to the millions of fans that have followed us for so many years. When I tour on my own, it's never as Stone Temple Pilots. It's as Scott Weiland. The fans deserve to know what they're getting.

“Eric” and I were together for five years and had a horrible breakup a year ago. While we were together I grew very close to his daughter “Amy,” and she to me. Amy’s mom has not been in the picture for many years. Amy took our breakup badly, and pretty much took my side in everything. We’ve kept in touch and often done things together since Eric and I split. We basically don’t discuss him. I last spoke to Amy early in September. Since then she hasn’t called or texted. The final song turned into an improv showdown between Delila and Edgey on their guitars. Both at separate moments climbed off the stage to play from the audience, who grabbed at them lovingly and took pictures. It was like witnessing a birth. Maybe to the new self, the one that came from watching this show. This superbly talented act brings back rock ideals that feel almost nonexistent in the current market, and it is a welcome relief. They are sure to be a dynamic presence and force of change on the world stage.
