yumがインストールできない

はじめまして宜しくお願いします。 OSはCENTOS6.1です。 yum自体が入っておらずgoogleで色々検索したのですが、インストールの方法が見つかりません。 ためしにやってみたことは rpm -q yum とすると当然 package yum is not installed となってしまいます。 wget http://ftp.iij.ad.jp/pub/linux/centos/6/os/i386/Packages/yum-3.2.27-14.el6.centos.noarch.rpm とすると --2012-09-15 20:01:48-- http://ftp.iij.ad.jp/pub/linux/centos/6/os/i386/Packages/yum-3.2.27-14.el6.centos.noarch.rpm Resolving ftp.iij.ad.jp... 202.232.140.143, 202.232.140.144, 2001:240:bb8f::f:301, ... Connecting to ftp.iij.ad.jp|202.232.140.143|:80... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 404 Not Found 2012-09-15 20:01:49 ERROR 404: Not Found. となってしまい先に進めません どうぞ宜しくお願い致します。

指定しているURLには該当パッケージが存在していません。 下記URLから wget してみてはどうですか。 http://ftp.riken.jp/Linux/centos/6.1/os/i386/Packages/yum-3.2.29-17.el6.centos.noarch.rpm

ご回答ありがとうございます。 http://ftp.riken.jp/Linux/centos/6/os/x86_64/Packages/ で最新パッケージを確認することができました。 そしてrpm -ivh yum-3.2.29-30.el6.centos.noarch.rpm とやると下記のように無いものだらけでした。 warning: yum-3.2.29-30.el6.centos.noarch.rpm: Header V3 RSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID c105b9de: NOKEY error: Failed dependencies: pygpgme is needed by yum-3.2.29-30.el6.centos.noarch python-urlgrabber >= 3.9.0-8 is needed by yum-3.2.29-30.el6.centos.noarch rpm-python is needed by yum-3.2.29-30.el6.centos.noarch yum-metadata-parser >= 1.1.0 is needed by yum-3.2.29-30.el6.centos.noarch yum-plugin-fastestmirror is needed by yum-3.2.29-30.el6.centos.noarch 上記を必要かと最新版をダウンロードしてはインストールしたりしているのですが、次から次にファイルが必要とキリがない感じになってしまいます。 全て必要なファイルなのでしょうか？ それとも必要なrpmはいくつか決まっているのでしょうか？ 申し訳ございませんが宜しくお願いいたします。

どんなパソコンに、どのようなインストールをしたのか、内蔵HDDのパーティションのサイズ等の環境の記載がないため、単に、CD-ROMから起動できるかどうか試しただけとも思えます。 isoは、何を使用したか、起動はどんな状態なのか、システム→管理→ソフトウェアの追加/削除はあるか、そこから最悪、yumをインストールしてみる手はないのか。

ご返答ありがとうございます。 サーバーはレンタルサーバーで、VPSを借りました。 いつもはサクラのVPSを借りているのでyumがはいっており簡単に初期設定をすることができます。 今回は違うところにしたためこのようなことになってしましました。 なのでインストールしなおしができません。
