和訳をお願いします。
レポートの問いで How developing country move from traditional or less developed institutions to those characteristics of more developed society? という質問がでました。 私なりに訳したのですが、いまいちよくわかりません。 わかる方、和訳とすこし意味の説明をしていただけませんでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします。

>How developing country move from traditional or less developed institutions to those characteristics of more developed society? 英文としては、不完全かなと思います。 How does/did/can/will/etc a developing country move from traditional or less developed institutions to those characteristics of more developed society? a developing countryは、the developing countryか、developing countriesもあります。特にどこの先進国ということもなければ、最後のdeveloping countriesの複数形がよく用いられます。とりあえず現在形で訳します。 「どのようにすれば、先進国は伝統的、あるいは不充分な制度を脱して、もっと成熟した社会が、それらについて持つ特質に、たどり着けるのだろうか？」 可能性として低いとは思いますが、to不定詞と現在分詞の間違いという可能性も無くなないです。 How to develop countries move from traditional or less developed institutions to those characteristics of more developed society? 「国が伝統的、あるいは不充分な制度を脱して、もっと成熟した社会が、それらについて持つ特質にたどり着ける方法は、何か？」

By so doing, we have tended to over-value the theoretical and the abstract in a way that, while it does help individuals lead more fulfilling lives, probably does not help our society's competitiveness. 以下の解釈はあっているでしょうか？ 質問１．were not quite so quick～は『そう早くやめれない』ということですか？ 質問２．a little less willing to～はどういう訳になるのですか？ 『職業訓練施設として大学をみなすことは、あまり快くない。』 質問３．whileのあとのitは「the theoretical and the abstract」をさしていると思うのですが、２つであるのにitはおかしいですよね？ どちらか片方なのでしょうか？
