-i have to go very soon..but it has been so long that i wanted to say hello before we did:) この、最後のbefore we didについてです。 というニュアンス そしてdidはwanted to say... 友人はextra とかrest of something before the last time, last meal,,, と教えてくれました。

There are at least two biotechnological was to revive a mammoth. One is to clone it. Dr. Ian Wilmut developed this method at a research center in Scotland. He is well knownas the man the man who cloned "Dolly" the sheep. The other is to use frozen mammoth sperm to fertilize the egg of an Asian elephant. "There's a chance we can get frozen sperm from a mammoth," says Larry Agenbroad, a specialist in biotechnology. There is only a slight difference in DNA between the mammoth and the Asian elephant. So, if we fertilize the Asian elephant egg with mammoth sperm, we can, in theory, produce a young animal. It will be half-mammoth and half-elephant. Repeating this kind of fertilization again and again, we'll be able to produce an animal very close to a mammoth in the end.

But whether contemplated from a geological point of view, or whether from a philological one, that is, with reference to the value of words, the use of language, and the ordinary rules which govern writers whose object it is to make themselves understood by those to whom their works are immediately addressed, the interpretation proposed by Buckland to be given to the Mosaic description will not bear a moment's serious discussion. It is plain, from the whole tenor of the narrative, that the writer contemplated no such representation as that suggested, nor could any such idea have entered into the minds of those to whom the account was first given. Dr. Buckland endeavours to make out that we have here simply a case of leaving out facts which did not particularly concern the writer's purpose, so that he gave an account true so far as it went, though imperfect.

What time is it? There are many ways you can find out the time. You may have a wristwatch on your arm. You can look at an arm clock beside your bed. People tell the time on the radio or TV. You can call a number on the telephone and get the time. It has not always been easy to know the time. A long time ago people looked at the sun to tell the time. The sun was their clock. They could tell the time of day by the place of the sun in the sky:morning, noon,or afternoon. After many years people began to see something else about the sun. When the sun shone on something,it made a dark shadow behind it. This was the place that did not get sunlight. As the sun moved across the sky,the shadow moved too. People could tell time better by the shadows that by the sun. They made something long and pointed so that the shadow was easier to see.
