分かりそうで分からん・・
お願いします Do you think there are fewer stigmas against people with psychological disorders than in the past? Among whom? Why? を日本語にした場合 精神的疾患の患者に対してこれまでいくつかの汚点があったと思いますか？誰に？理由は？ ・・でしょうか？これだと日本語自体意味が分からなくて、よろしくお願いします

stigma -- 不名誉・汚名・恥 などと辞書に載っていますよね。 この場合 偏見 と訳すと 意味が見えてくると思います。 than in the past --- 以前よりも 精神的疾患の患者に対して、以前よりも偏見は減っていると思いますか？ どういう人たちの間で？ どういう理由で？ 意味が見えましたか？ （＾＾

First, we can know what the heart problem is or how should we deal with it by TV, book and radio. Japanese government tries hard to keep everyone informed about disorders. Second, In Japan, over 30000 people are killed by themselves every year. This disorder is one of major risk factor for suicide. For these reasons, almost all Japanese understand and try to help them.

「外国語の学習は世界平和に通じる」と意見について、あなたはどう考えるか、７０語程度の英語で述べよ」という問題の中で、次のことで質問させていただきたいことがあります。 「外国の文化を理解すればするほど、誤解は減っていく」をいうのに、 The more you learn about a foreign culture , the less misunderstandings among them will be. というのでは間違いでしょうか？ them は 国と国のことをthem と書きました。 解答では The more they learn know about foreign cultures , the fewer misunderstandings there will be . となっていました。 なぜ、the fewer ....there wil be となっているのでしょうか？ the less....will be ではいけないのでしょうか？ もしかたしたら、補足をお願いさせていただくこともあるかと思いますが、回答よろしくお願いします。英語の文章での回答でも、日本語での文章での回答どちらでもけっこうです。

英語日記11 なぜ勉強するのか すいませんが最近英語力のライティングをあげようと英作文をまいにち書くようにしてます。 レベルのひくい英作文ではずかしいのですが。できれば文法や細かい間違いを指摘して頂けると幸いです。 Why people study? What do you answer if you are asked why do you study? To get a good job? To earn many money? Maybe many young students answer YES. It is said that there are many smart people in Japan. I also think so. However, do you think that if a number of smart people increase, which give a chance to develop in Japan? The answer is NO. I think that talent is much more important than studying. Of course, studying is important thing, but looking for your own talent is more important.

「レベルアップ」って和製英語ですよね。さて、次の文を英訳してみました。 “英語を介してフランス語を勉強すると、フランス語よりも英語のレベルアップになるのではないかと思います。英語とフランス語を比べると 動詞の活用はフランス語の方がはるかに多いですが、時制に関しては英語の方が細かいです。例えば フランス語の複合過去は英語の過去と現在完了に対応していますが、フランス語の複合過去に両方の意味があるのではなく、区別がないだけなんです。” I think that if you study French through English, you'll improve your English rather than French. Compared English with French, though French has the much more complicated conjugation than English, It's English that possesses more detailed tense than French. For exemple, French compound past correponds both to English past and present perfect, but it is not that French compound past expresses two notion of time, but it just makes no ditinction between these two. 手持ちの和英辞典に「レベルアップ」という単語がなかったので、ここでは improveを用いましたが、それでいいんでしょうか？ その他にも、英文でおかしな箇所がありましたら ご指摘くださいませ。
