受験対策的には，as～asの最初のasの「直後」には必ず副詞や形容詞がくると考えていいと思います。そう考えれば，asの直後に動詞goが来ないということになります。

I think we are all born with the gift for enjoying beautiful things ,but that we are indifferent to many of them because our attention was never called to them in childhood. 文中のthat は、名詞節のthatですが、このthatは必要なのでしょうか？ that s+v is～.なら必要だと思いますが、ここでの必要性が理解できません。

But we must ask whether it is as permanent as a reflex,whether the animal will continue to salivate if we continue to present the light unaccompanied by food powder. whetherはすごく苦手な構文の1つで、これが出てきた瞬間英文を読む速度がガクっと下がります。 克服したいのですが、whether構文についてどなたか教えていただけないでしょうか。 ちなみに上記の英文を訳したところ、 「しかし私たちは、反射が永続的だろうと、もし私たちが肉粉に付随しない光を呈示する場合に動物が唾液を分泌しようとも、尋ねなければならない。」となりました。ちょっとむちゃくちゃで、 自分でもどこが間違っているのかわからないです。 どこの理解が及んでいないのか、どうすればよかったのか、教えて頂けないでしょうか。
