being printed ...
こんにちは。 あるテキストに Imagine going into your neighborhood bookstore, choosing from a list of millions of titles and watching your selection being printed before your eyes. という文があったのですが、 この " being printed " のところが どうしてこの書き方になるのか分かりません。 ちなみにテキストでの訳は、 "近所の本屋でたくさんのリストからタイトルを選び 目の前で選んだ物がプリントされることを想像してみよう" 全体の話は、 "実際の本を手にする人より、インターネットの本(文章)を 閲覧したりプリントアウトする人が増えている" というもので、上記の文章は冒頭の部分です。

これは、"watch A ～ing" で、「Aが～しているのを見る」という 構文です。例えば、"watch him running" で、「彼が走っているのを 見る」となりますが、この場合、対象が "your selection" なので、 受動態となり、それが現在進行形となって、"being printed" となります。 上の例で言うと、"watch him" + "he is running"、ご質問の例だと、 "watch your selection" + "your selection is being printed" と いうことになります。

watch ＋ Ｏ ＋ doing Ｏ が ～しているのを見る watch ＋ Ｏ ＋ being doing Ｏ が ～されているのを見る 今目の前でまさにプリントされている状態を見ていると想像してください、というニュアンスで書かれているので、being printed となるのです

watch は watch 目的語 不定詞 watch 目的語 ing 形 のどちらかの形をとるのでこうなります。 watch your selection being printed は「あなたのセレクションがプリント「される」のをみる」 という受身の形です。
