難訳「眠狂四郎シリーズ」始まりました。
お待ちかねの「眠狂四郎シリーズ」始まりました。 狂四郎に惚れてしまった女に一言 「男が、無頼者であればあるほど、自分が尽してやらねば、誰も見向きをせぬ、と思い込む善女が、世の中にはいるものだが、貴女は、その一人のように見受けられる。さらば、今宵一晩だけだがそなたの望みかなえて進ぜる。」 I have seen many women who want to serve me, one-sidedly convincing herself nobody else will take care of me except herself and she will be only one and final woman in the world to do so,,,,,,,,,,,you look you are one of such women.Now let me realize your dream. この二時間程「無頼者であ・れ・ば・あ・る・ほ・ど」を何とかかんとか英語にぶち込もうと難攻不落・切磋扼腕・七転八倒・無念無想・一念発起・念仏一生・神仏祈願・一蓮托生・艱難辛苦・呉越同舟・名所旧跡・臥薪嘗胆・内典外典、、、キリが無いので止めますが、どうしても出来ませんでした。この部分を「無頼の徒以外の言い方でも結構」ですので「世の中には受け入れられない俺みたいなどうしようもない人間」みたいな解釈でも、、、意味さえ通れば、、、又、「さらば、今晩一晩だけ」以降はご自由に、上記は余りにも色気無さ過ぎです。ぞくぞくっと来る大人の色気を込めての訳文であれば感謝感激雨霰。 勿論、本文自体をゴロッと書き直して下さっても結構です。「自爆特攻隊」も勿論歓迎です。でも、「安易な自爆テロ」だけはご勘弁、

No.２です。再び、間違え発見です。 ＞but to come to believe to be the last one to take care of him. は、次でないとおかしいですね。 but to come to not mind believing to be the last one taking care of him. これでも変な感じかも。

[overnight」(一晩中、今宵一夜は、夜通しで)をどっかその当たりに挿入するのが良かろうがどこに挿入するのがよいかは判らん。辛いのは(一夜限りのニュアンスが出せないことじゃな) 拙者は難しい単語はトンと知らぬ故、出来るだけ易しい単語で攻める。尚、前半で「女性の本能」=「母性本能とでも言うべき精神的なモノ」について述べているが、狂四郎はこの場面では「女性の奥深くしまわれている=性本能」に狡猾にもさりげなく話題を変えておるゾ、これが女殺しの女殺したる所以か。何っ?、拙者の名を問われるのか、柴田錬三郎=柴錬(シバレン)の異母兄弟で、斉藤錬三郎、通称(サイレン)じゃ! 何卒お見知りおきの程を。 以下は、懸詞、instinctive -vs- distinctive 判らんだろうな、判らん! 遊び過ぎだ! サイレン師匠ご苦心の跡覗える作品深謝であります。日頃のmabomkさんにすれば極めて穏健でそのもの大人の節度有りの文体、しかしそれなりの色気も十分感じます。でも肝心要の「無頼者であ・れ・ば・あ・る・ほ・ど」の前半部分は置きざりにするところなぞ我が儘放題の性格見えたり。その当たりは「自爆攻撃隊」にお任せしようか?

I see you to be of that kind. 難訳シリーズ初挑戦！ いや、それにしてもなんと独善的なせりふ。男の照れか、これこそがサムライの証しか。 "The more vagabond he was, the more she could not help devoting herself. There would be a woman of virtue who has such nature. You seem to be the one." he said. "As long as you are, tonight is the only night I will grant you the wish to own me."

英文を読んでいるとこんな文章に出合いました。文脈は、ある男性が、ある女性に向かって、「君の望みを３つ叶えてあげるよ」と言います。それに対して、女性はこう言います。 "No, two will do. One is for you realize how grateful I am that you came to see me here. I hope you will understand how happy you've made me. I know it's going to save me if anything will." 問題の箇所まで訳すと「二つで十分よ。ひとつは、あなたがこうして会いに来てくれたことに対して、私はすごい感謝しているんだという事を分かって欲しいの。あなたのお蔭で、私がどれぐらい幸せになったかという事を分かってほしいわ」 次です。たぶん「救われるのよ」みたいな感じだと思うのですが、if anything will の部分がよく分かりません。will のない、if anything はよく見るので、「どちらかといえば、むしろ」という意味で、「（幸せというよりも）むしろ、救われるのよ」とすれば意味は通ります。 この will は一体何なのでしょうか？if 節中に will が使われてるのも引っかかります。if 節中に特別な場合を除いて、will は使われない。とされているからです。特別な場合とは、「If you will wash the dishes, I will put the children to bed （あなたが食器を洗ってくれれば, 私が子供をねかしつけます）」 のように、「意志」を表すときです。anything は生き物ではないので意志はありません。どう訳せばいいのでしょうか？どうぞ、お力を貸してください。よろしくお願いします。
