一応自分で約しましたが分かりません。
自分で訳してみましたがなかなか変な文章になってしまいまいました。 明々後日がテストですがよく意味をりかいできません。 もし、分かる方いらっしゃったら助けてください。 a slip of tongue is worse than a slip on the pavement 口がすべるのは舗道上のスリップよりも悪いことだ。; the wicked will go to ruin just as suddenly as a person slips and falls.その悪いことはまさに人がスリップして落ちたとき突然滅びるだろうan impolite person is like one of those off-color stories that ignorant people are always telling. 無作法な人は無知な人々がよく話す下品な話の中のようだnobody takes a proverb seriously when some fool quotes it at the wrong time.ここは分かりませんでした。if a person is too poor to afford sin,he cann rest without a guilty conscience.人は貧しすぎて罪の余裕が無い場合やましい心が無ければ安心することができるyou can lose all your self-respect by being reluctant to speak up in the presence of stupidity.君はまぬけな人の面前で嫌々ながら話すときすべて自尊心を失うことができるif you promise a friend something because you are too bashful to say no,you are needlessly making an enemy.君が友達と何か約束をする場合君は内気過ぎるから何も言えないからといってその人を敵にまわす必要は無い。lying is an ugly blot on a persons character , but ignorant people do it all the time. 嘘は人々の性格の上で悪い欠点だ。しかし無知な人々はそれをいつでもする a thief is better than a habitjal liar, but both are headed for ruin. 泥棒は習慣的な嘘吐きよりもよい。a liar has no honor.嘘吐きは光栄ではない he lives in constant disgrace.彼は相変わらず面目を失っていきている。
