英文みてください
スーツケースに貼る用に、９個の英文字のステッカーをカーショップに買いにいくの。 I will buy 9 English letter stickers at a car shop to put on for my suit case. お願いします。

こんにちは、度々失礼します。 No.1のmatsura-1975です。 『I will go to a car shop to buy 9 English-lettered stickers to put on my suit case.』 …『to put on my suit case』を飛ばして書いてました。 すみません(p_-)。

こんにちは。その英文でも十分通用しますが、 Im going to car shop to buy 9 (english) alphabet stickers to put on my suitcase. 日本語から英語に翻訳する場合は常に最後から。その分で一番大きな出来事から訳していくほうがまとまりますよ。

こんにちは。気に掛かった点を端折って書いて見ますね。 一点目。 『ステッカー』は『スーツケースに貼る用』なので 『9 Engilsh letter stickers』のすぐ後に 『to put on for my suit case』を持ってきた方が 良いでしょう。 二点目。 『買いに行く』ので『カーショップ』に行くという 行為を表現する意味では『buy at a car shop』より 『go to a car shop to buy』と書いた方が 絵が浮かび易いです。 ちなみに、『I will buy』は文法上問題はありませんが、 意味としては『買い物に行く』よりも 『買う』という行為だけ、という印象が強いです。 『買うんならここで買うだろうな』という内容の話なら 『I will buy』が的確な表現かな、という気がします。 三点目。 『スーツケースにステッカーを貼る』とは 『put a sticker on a suit case』と表現しますので、 『スーツケースに貼るステッカー』は不定詞を用いると 『a sticker to put on a suit case』となるはずです。 従って、『my suit case』の前の『for』は余分です。 四点目。 これは正直大きなお世話なのですが、 『9 English letter stickers』は名詞のひと塊としては 大きいような気がします。 『English letter』だと『stickers』と２つ名詞が並んで 読み辛い印象もあるので、 『English-lettered』と形容詞の形に変えて 『9 English-lettered stickers』とすると、 文中でも紛らわしさが少ないかな、という気がします。 これを踏まえて書いてみると、 『I will go to a car shop to buy 9 English-lettered stickers.』 という感じです。

こんにちはお世話になります。 「交通手段」の名詞にbyがつくとtheは省くとずいぶん前に習いましたが、よくよく考えてみるとなぜなのかよくわかりません。We will go there by car.のcarは可算名詞なのでやはり冠詞がないと変な感じがします。あとI sent the letter by express.という表現もこれと同じルールなのでしょうか？
