車の話です。複数？単数？
「日産スカイラインGTRの写真をネットで見ました。すごくかっこいい。いくらするんですか？」 を自分なりに英訳してみたんですが、車を複数扱いすべきか単数扱いすべきかで悩んでいます。 以下の訳、どっちが正しいのかどなたか教えてください。 I saw pictures of Nissan Skyline GTR on the internet. ネットで見た写真は一枚でしたか？複数でしたか？ そして、写真に写っていたのは一台ですか？複数ですか？ もし一台の車を写した写真が一枚だったら： I saw a picture of Nissan Skyline GTR on the internet. It's really cool. もし複数の車を写した写真が一枚だったら： I saw a picture of Nissan Skyline GTRs on the internet. They are really cool. もし一台の車を写した写真が一枚以上あったら： I saw pictures of Nissan Skyline GTR on the internet. It's really cool. もし複数の車を写した写真が一枚以上あったら： I saw pictures of Nissan Skyline GTRs on the internet. They are really cool. いくらか、に関しては、写真に写っていた特定の車（オプションなど含めて）の値段を知りたいなら How much is it? でＯＫ。もしGTRのだいたいの値段を知りたいなら How much are they? のほうが適切です。

アメリカの人とチャットで話していたのですが、 「I bought one the other day, and I was surprised at how fun they are」 と言っていました。 ニンテンドーの wii の話です。 「one と言ったのにどうして they なの？」と聞くと、その人は 「I bought one yes but they (as in wiis) are fun. Sometimes English is confusing even to me. Natural speech doesn't hold true to grammar rules sometimes.」 と答えました。 単数が複数に、また複数が単数に。 こんな事は日常会話の中でよくあるのでしょうか？ 時々気づくのですが、長い文を話している時、主語が変わってきてしまう事などありますよね。 耳で流しながら聞くと、意味がわかるのですが、 実際書いてみると文法的に意味が通じなくなります。 そんな感じで、子供でも三人称単数だとかきっちり使い分けて話しているのに、 単数/複数が混乱する事はよくあるのでしょうか？

長文の中でどうしても訳せない一文があります。日本語訳を宜しくお願い致します。 Because they are afraid doing so would affect their sales,they are reluctant and argue that they have no idea how much salt remains on such things as potato chips and how much sticks to the bag. how much sticks to the bagの部分がどうしても分からないためこの文の内容が理解できません。日本語訳お待ちしております。
