インターネットを使って誰かのサイトをはじめて見つけた場合ならば ・I have found your website by surfing the web. 「ネットサーフインをしてあなたのサイトを見つけました」 ネット上でその人のサイトにアクセスしたことがあるならば ・I have visited your online shop. 「あなたのオンラインショップを訪れました。」 その人のサイトのある部分を見たのであれば ・I have seen a webpage of your shop(store）. 「あなたの店のサイトのページを見ました」 など色々の言い方が出来ます。lookやseeはその時の状態を表す単語を伴わなければ、あなたが具体的な目的をもって視点をそこに集めたことを意味する場合に使われます。またサイトはそこで直接買物が出来るようなものであれば、online shop, 買物は出来ないがお店の内容などが閲覧できるようなサイトであれば website、もしくは webpageというIT用語が使われます。参考まで。

日本語の「サイトを見る」は、"visit a site"が最もポピュラーです。日本語でも「サイトを訪れる」って言いますよね。lookだと視覚的過ぎるかもしれません。本も確実に目で見るものですが、"I look at the book"とは言いませんよね。それだとあまりにも視覚的だから。それと似たようなものかもしれません。 他には"check (out)"なんかも使ったりします。lookは、主に写真や絵を見るサイトなんかであれば使っても違和感は無いです。 I (have) visited your shop's website.

英ナビを使って勉強しているのですが、 それに関して分からない部分があるので質問します 1.They say him being liar この文は誤りだそうなのですが、私にはどうしてか分かりません 「say ～ing」は無い構文と身勝手に理解しているのですが… 2.I was (made waiting , kept waiting , keeping waited , kept waited) at the stop as long as thirty minutes. 適当な一語を選ぶ問 「made , keeping」でなく「kept」なのは分かります 『私は停留所で30分待たされ続けた』から 「kept waited」だと思ったのですが 「kept waiting」が正解で、どうしてか分かりません もしかして「was waited＝待たれる」となるのでしょうか? 「was waited＝待たされる」だと思っているのですが… 「was kept」に受動の意味を含めて「I was waiting」を合成して「I was kept waiting」、とあるのですが 「was」がなければ「I kept waited」でも良いという事でしょうか? 3.The factor lends great interest to the history of modern japan. ＝ The factor (１) the history of modern japan very (２). (１)は使役動詞が入るのは分かります (２)が「interesting」か「interested」かなのですが 正解は「interesting」で、これもイマイチ分かりません 4.Thei photgraph makes him (look , to look , looking , looked) very young. 「to look 」と「looking」が駄目な理由は分かり 「looked」でなく「look」であるのも分かります でも、自動詞の「look」が「is looked」という受動態で使われる筈がない、とあるのですが 自動詞は受動態で使われる事はないのでしょうか?

- watchとlookの動作イメージの違いについて
下記にan eldery woman's shoplifting を目撃したことを話すmailの文章があります。動詞を適語にして文を完成させます。 I was buying a new alarm clock the other day in Taylor's the jewellers, whan I actually saw somebody shoplifting. I'd just finished paying for my clock and as I turned around, an elderly woman was slowly putting a silver plate into a bag that She was carrying. Then she walked( was walking) over the another part of the shop and picked (was picking ) up an expensive-looking watch a number of times. when she thought that nobody was looking (looked), she dropped it into the bag. before I had a chance to tell the staff in the shop, She noticed that I was watching (watched) her and hurried out. Unfortunately for her, two police officers was walking past just at that moment and she ran straight into them. 上記の文の中の was looking とwas watching のみが正解らしいのですが、looked とwatched も それを最初から最後まで目撃したよ という意味ではlooked とwatchedもありだと思っています。 臨場感を考えると過去進行形しかありえないのでしょうか？それともlookとwatchの根本的な意味を間違っているのでしょうか？教えてください。

自分のお気に入りの動画があり、You Tube でその動画を見たい 英語で I want to watch it movies in "You Tube". で、自分なりに英訳してみました。 この場合の”見る”は、see でしょうか？watchなんでしょうか？ ”You Tube" の前に入る前置詞は on ですか？in ですか？
