参考意見です。 Granularityは、手持ちの辞書には載っていませんでした (英和辞典2040ページ、英英辞典794ページ) 前後をよく見ていないので、間違えていたらすみません。 Wikipediaによると Granularity is the extent to which a system is broken down into small parts, either the system itself or its description or observation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granularity ですので、「細かく、詳細な範囲」でいいのでは? と思います。 contextは、 the situation in which something happens or that caused something to happen. (Oxford Wordpower, 2001) なので「状況」「背景」「状態」でいいと思います。 historyは通信の場合、「履歴」が自然だと思います。 試訳 通信量のグラフではMainland China Service Availability(中国本土のサービス可用性)のページと同じ情報を見られますが、(しかし)より詳細でより詳しい履歴のある状態です。

It is also possibly the most expensive material in the world, and indeed in ancient Rome it was more expensive than gold. But it is strong as well-a thread of silk is stronger than steel. I wanted to discover more about this mysterious material, so I decided to go to China. China is where the secret of silk was discovered more than 4,000 years ago, and today it is still the biggest producer of silk in the world. The first person I visited was Shen Congwen, advisor on ancient textiles to the Palace Museum in Beijing. He showed me some silk that workers found in a tomb in jianglin, in Hubei Province. It was more than 2,000 years old but still beautiful. He told me that he thinks these old silks are more beautiful than modern silks. "In ancient times, Weaving was done from the heart. In modern times, weaving is done for commerce." So, how do you make silk? The first problem is that the silkworm only eats leaves from one tree-the mulberry tree. "It is easier to prepare food for a human than a silkworm," says Toshio Ito, a japanese silkworm physiologist. silkworms only live for about 28 days, but in that time they increase in weight 10,000 times. At the end of their short lives, they spin a cocoon. In China, I watched workers collect the cocoons and kill the silkworms with steam or hot air. They then put the cocoons into hot water to make them softer. Next, they pulled the fibers from the cocoon and spun them to make silk thread. Finally, they wove the thread into cloth on machines called looms. But why is silk so expensive? Well, it takes 110 cocoons to make a mana7s tie, 630 cocoons to make a blouse and 3,000 cocoons to make a heavy silk kimono. That's a lot of mulberry leaves and many hours of hard work. Other than Bennington's obvious presence, the shuffled material added to the freshness. Song choices were smart and for the most part played to his strengths. With Scott Weiland being obviously absent, the band eschewed playing Plush, a curious move. The trade-off being more rare material gets time to shine. It's a wonder some of the old catalog songs weren't played in the past ten years, or ever. This could be owing to Weiland's or the band's preferences, but either way, some variety is welcome at STP shows. Overall, similar to Weiland's solo show, the set could benefit from a few more song additions. STP plays the game they know best, granting Bennington may not be everyone's taste. It's an entertaining show, but maybe not arena-size just yet.

I would guess they are hired by the store, but the term seems to be a convenient way to imply authority without responsibility. 例えば一文目、情報源を確認することよりも曖昧な表現はない(?)と訳せたのですが、 訳しておいて、その意味が全然わかりません・・・・・・。
