最近の英語の論文で下のようなことが書いてたのですがどういう意味でしょうか？ 訳していただけないでしょうか？ After drying-off, high-yielding dairy cows are usually housed during the dry period to allow BCS to be monitored and improved before parturition. ジャンル的には英語かと思ったのですが専門用語が入っているのでこちらで質問しました。 よろしくお願いします。

After drying-off, high-yielding dairy cows are usually housed during the dry period to allow BCS to be monitored and improved before parturition 乾乳処置後、高泌乳牛は通常牛舎に飼われ、分娩までの乾乳期間は適切なBCS（脂肪蓄積指数 やや肥えた３．５あたり）になるよう管理される。 少し古い教科書でしょうか。分娩予定２月前、飼料を急激に落とし、泌乳を止め、次の泌乳に備え、適度に体重の増加を図る このことを示しています。

１つ（BCS：body condition scoreの略）を除いて専門用語としてそれほど調べにくいものは含まれていませんので、オンライン医学辞書等を使ってみられてはいかがでしょうか? 参考URLで、drying off も body condition score も出てきます。

Thus, as the newer cohorts replace the older cohorts among those over 65. the average income, education, and health of elders improves. This is the primary explanation for the improvement in characteristics of elders.
