英文売買契約における”firm release”
”firm release”の意味が分からず、困っています。次のような形で使用されている場合、どのような意味なのか、日本語だとどのような言葉で表現されているのか、どなたかご教示いただきたく、よろしくお願いいたします。 Seller's liability shall not exceed the firm release quantities as indicated on the release. The firm release timeframe will typically be 4 weeks in duration.

全体の文章がないので、確定的なコメントはできませんが、release quantitiesとあることから、食糧品とか物品の「放出品の台数」のことではないかと思います。前におかれた形容詞Firmは確定したといういみで、貿易英語では、Firm Order （確定注文）という形で使われているFIｒｍであると思います。この場合の確定の意味は、Sellerが保証した（確約した）台数という意味でquantitiesにかかっています。 on the leaseはon the release listの意味（on th e list of the goods to be released)ではないかと思われます。この単語のみでは不十分ですが、多分契約書のどこかにその定義が示されているのではないでしょうか。The firm release time frameは、Sellerがfirm(確定した/保証した）放出品の台数の有効期限の意味とおもいます。

法律とか商取引とかについては素人なので、全く見当違いの回答であるかもしれませんが・・・ 英語で firm release day というと、「発売日」 みたいなものではなかろうかと思いますから、firm release だけだと成約した 「売買契約」 のことではないでしょうか。 「売り手側は、契約上の規定を上回る数量の商品を納入する義務は免じられる。売買契約の効力は、一般に４週間を上回らない」 みたいな感じではないかと読みました。
