訳せない英文があります。
"If God brought him this far back to me, he will come back the rest of the way. It will take time." がどうしてもわかりません。 brought ～ back (～を思い出させる）かなと思ったんですが、9/11に そうすると、him this far がわからないし、to meもわかりません。 If 過去形,will は仮定法でしょうか？ この英文の前の文章は、 世界貿易センター付近にいたと思われ、その後行方不明とされたいた男性が、ニューヨークの病院で発見された。家族によると、男性は記憶喪失と診断されている。 その男性の母親のコメント、 「彼は生きているけれど本当に調子がよいというわけではない。息子は家族の事もわからなかった。 とあって、その後に続く文です。 すごく気になります、よろしくお願いします。

そんなに難しいことではないと思うのですが。ポイントは主語が「God＝神」だということかな。「brought back」は文字通り「連れ戻した」でいいと思います。 直訳すると、 「もしも神が、彼を、これほど長い距離まで私に連れ戻してくれたのなら、彼は残りの道も戻ってくるだろう。それは時間が掛かるだろう」 なので、だいたい、おわかりいただけるのではないかと思うのですが。 行方不明だった時の彼（息子） → → → 今の彼 → 私 という位置関係ですね。早く「私」まで辿り着くといいですね。

もし神が彼をこれほど遠いところから私のところに返してくれたのなら（＝神が行方不明になっていた彼を私のところに返してくれたのなら）、彼は残りの道も帰ってくるだろう（失った記憶も取り戻すに違いない）。それには、時間はかかるだろうけれど。

(もし神が彼を私からとても遠くに連れ去ったのなら、彼は道の休憩所に戻ってくるだろう。時間をかけて。) この「bring」は「連れ去る」で、「far back」は両方とも遠いところの意味なので「とても遠く」と訳しました。
