友人のメール後半部分です。

和訳はこんな感じであってますか Sometimes I don't write or even draw anything! 時々、私は何も書かないか、描きさえしません！ At times like that, I just relax and visit with my cousin who I live with:) 時々、リラックスしたいときは、一緒に暮らすいとこを訪ねます:) I am getting ready to leave for school and this is the last week of work for me so wish me luck! 私は学校にいく準備をはじめました、そして、これは私の仕事の最後の週ですので、私の運を祈ってください！

アメリカに38年住んでいる者です。　私なりに書かせてくださいね。 何時もの通りakijakeさんの訳は英語表現のフィーリングをうまく日本語に訳しているので私から特別訳を書かなくてもいいと思います。 今回の私の回答としては、これらの表現のうらにある考えられる状況を説明することでこれらの表現をよりよく理解できると私は思いますので書いてみますね。 ＞Sometimes I don't write or even draw anything! 時々、私は何も書かないか、描きさえしません！ 全く何も書かない時もあれば、いたずら書きですらしない時だってあるんだ。　つまり、書くという一人ですることですらしたくない時もあるし、もっと簡単な頭を使わないいたずら書きだってしない時があるんだ、と言うようなフィーリングがこの文章の前の文脈によっては言いたい表現なのかもしれないな、と感じました。　それが正しい感じ鶏かどうかは前後する文章が無いために分かりませんが。 ＞At times like that, I just relax and visit with my cousin who I live with:) 時々、リラックスしたいときは、一緒に暮らすいとこを訪ねます:) そんなような時には何にもしないで気を楽にして一緒に住んでいる従兄弟と時間をすごす(visit with)んだ。　同居と言うことですから従兄弟が住んでいるところへ訪問visitするわけではないですね。　visit withと言う表現をして「時間をすごす」「駄弁る「特に目的があるわけじゃないけどその人のところへ遊びに行く」と言うようなフィーリングを出す時に使う表現なんですね。 ＞I am getting ready to leave for school and this is the last week of work for me so wish me luck! 私は学校にいく準備をはじめました、そして、これは私の仕事の最後の週ですので、私の運を祈ってください！ 確かにその訳の通り(の様な）事なんですがこちらでは6月からの夏休みの終わりが近づき、はやい所ではあと2週間で新学期・新学年が始まってしまいます。　leaveと書いてあるので地域の高校ではなく大学のあるところに住まいが変わるわけですね。　ですから、夏休みの終盤になり学校へ「戻る」なり一年生として学校に行くために学用品、アパート・寮で必要なものを用意したりしなくてはならないわけです。　これがget ready to leave for schoolと言うことなのです。 そして、夏休みにはほとんどの学生がアルバイトをして小遣い稼ぎが学費稼ぎをします(3ヶ月間)。　その仕事が後一週間で終わると言うことなんですね。　ですからもうお金が入ってこないわけです。　お金が入ってこないし新学期はもうすぐ始まってしまうので「まぁ、sとは運に任せるしかないので幸運を祈ってや」と言う最後の表現なわけです。 これでいかがでしょうか。　分かりにくい点がありましたら、補足質問してください。

こんにちは。 大きく違わないんですが、微妙に違った解釈になっている部分があるようです。 最初のはおっしゃる意味でいいと思います。 Sometimes I don't write or even draw anything 全く何も書かない時もあれば、描きもしない時だってあるよ。（これは内容が判らないのですが、描く以外の意味もあるので、検討して下さい） At times like that, I just relax and visit with my cousin who I live with:) そんな時は、ただリラックスして同居してる従兄のところ（部屋？）に行っておしゃべりするんだ。 visit withは「訪ねる」ではありません。with に注目＾＾* I am getting ready to leave for school and this is the last week of work for me so wish me luck! 学校に行く準備中で、仕事は最終週なんだ。幸運を祈ってね。 am getting readyは準備を始めたというより、今準備中（似たような意味かな？）という方が近いと思います。
