「～の」のinとof
If one does not criticize a form of behavior in oneself or vow to stop it, then one should not criticize that form of behavior in another. ここのinも～のという場所のinだと思いますがofでないのはどういう違いからですか？

in は必ずしも場所の中だけじゃなくて、何かの状況、状態の中でと言うニュアンスでも使います。なので、a form of behavior in oneself は「彼ら/彼女ら自身の中の行動形態」で、ありです。 一方で、a form of behavior of oneself/another もありです。「彼ら/彼女ら/他の人の行動形態」。 ニュアンスに違いがあるとすると、in の場合は個人に内示する性格や生い立ち、環境などによる行動形態。より一般的で、個人の人格に結びついた感じがします。それに対して of は、もうちょっと具体的に何かが発生したときにその事に対して特有の行動、反応など。 微妙な違いです。
