外国からの誕生日カードについての質問
- 外国に住む女友達からの誕生日カードについて疑問があります。
- メッセージの一部が理解できないため、意味を知りたいです。
- 特に、名前の表記や「Sweetie」の意味、また「T-cupple F cupple」や「T 4 2」という言葉の意味がわかりません。

意味がわかりません
外国に住む女友達から誕生日カードをもらいました。 カードには次のようなメッセージがありました。 Merrie+ I wish you the happiest birthday ever. We are so very lucky to have you in our lives. Please take care + be "Happy" Love you, merrie+ 彼女の名前＋ sweetie+ T-cupple （ F cupple？） ( T 4 2)! １行目のI wish～We are～はわかりますが、（＋の所は数字の４を横にしたような記号が書かれていました。） Merrie （MaiieにもMarriaのも見えます）？eとaに字の癖があり、わかりにくいんです。 Sweetieって女性同士でもいうのでしょうか？ T-cupple Fcuppleにしか読めず。。最後のT42にしか読めず意味がわかりません。 しかもこれって私宛に来たのかも謎になってきました。（他の人へのカードと間違い？） 分からない部分が想像できる方があればよろしくお願いします。m(__)m

１。最初の単語は、happiest と同じ最上級の merriest でしょう。 ２。＋の所は数字の４を横にしたような記号が書かれていました。 これはアンパーサンドと呼ばれる ＆ のことでしょう。だから＝ and です。 http://eow.alc.co.jp/ampersand/UTF-8/ ですから 三行目は、Please take care and be "happy" だと思います。 ３。７行目も、sweetiest だと思います。 ４。最後は、昔の映画の題 Tea for Two 「二人でお茶を」でしょう。 そう見れば一行前の T-cupple = Tea cup 「茶碗」 あたりでしょうか。

アメリカ人の友達のメールの終わりに"I wish you well"と書かれていましたが、よく意味がわかりません。 "I hope you are well" とはよく書かれているのですが。辞書で調べると、「幸運を祈る」とか「好意を示す」とあったりします。native に聞いたら、あんまり使わないけれど、相手が困っているときなどにかける言葉と言う回答もありました。 I wish you well と I hope you well は同じで形式的な挨拶なのでしょうか。それとも長いお別れの挨拶なのでしょうか。ニュアンスがわかりません。

as a warning in case I'd feel like trying something stupid like that again! Of course, I will not. It's obvious I'll never think like that again. Because, even if one doesn't have anybody, life is the most precious thing. It's not even ours, you know. I didn't decide to live, why should I decide to die? It's not up to me to choose. Our lives do not belong to us. We are given life, and we must take care of ourselves for as long as these lives last.
