PCを起動してもすぐに青い画面になってしまいます。

質問

dpgencを使用していたら突然青い画面に白字で以下の文が表示されました。

restart your computer. If this screen appears again,follow

その後何度PCを起動しても、この画面になってしまい何もできない状態です。
PCの詳しいスペックは起動できないので分からないのですが、
DELL Dimension8400 WindowsXPです。
どうしたらよいのでしょうか？

多分、メモリかハードの破損が原因のようです。

Ｆ８キーを利用しセーフモードで起動して、スタートからファイル名を指定して実行によりdrwatsonと入力しＯＫからタスクのＤr.Watsonをクリックするとエラー内容が表示されると思います。それで一応確認してから修理されることをお薦めします。

2枚あるうちの1枚のメモリを外してみたところ、深刻なエラーが回復しましたと表示され正常に動作するようになりました。

お返事ありがとうございます。
仰られたとおりセーフモードで起動しようと電源ボタンを押したらピーピーピーと5回鳴り、すごい回転音(ファン？)がして起動できませんでした。もう一度つけてみても同じ症状で、本当に何もできない状態になってしまいました。完全に壊れてしまったのでしょうか・・・？
