時制って本当に難しい

この問題の場合、重要なのは最後のnowです。 2つ以上の時を示す語句を同時に使えるのは完了形だけですので、２が違うことが分かります。 nowを取ったI think it is open for more than a year. がどんな場合でも絶対に使えないかと言うと、それは違います。 例えば、「このサーカス期間限定らしいけど、どれくらいの期間やってるんだろう？」 「1ヶ月以上はやってると思うよ。」 などの場合にはこちらを使うべきでしょう。 分かりづらい例ですみません。

Ｗhen I identified myself ,he said he didn't expect me to be blond , since he was looking for a fellow Jewish and then he laughed , because of all times he himself had been told he didn't look like what people expected , because he too is a blond Jewish. 文章の途中なのでわかりにくいかもしれません。 疑問に思ったのは、what people expected のところで、ここは時制を後ろにずらす必要があるのではないかなと思いました。 この部分について教えていただけると助かります。

(A) has been (B) had been (C) is (D) be の____に入る適切な句を答えなさい。 という問題で、 「彼はこの会社にたった二週間しかいないが、本当に事情に通じている」 ☆in this company for two weeks （二週間在職している）という部分は「過去から現在迄の継続」を表しているので現在完了系を選択。 と回答に書いてあったのですが、どうしてin this company for two weeksが「過去から現在までの継続」なのか分かりません。 「彼はこの会社にたった二週間しかいなかったが、本当に事情に通じている」 として (B)を選ぶことは出来ないのでしょうか。

解答ありがとうございました。遅くなりましたが、更に補足質問です。ネイティブに聞いたところ、下記のような文章で "is for+期間を表す語句"が使えるそうです。minds777さんが言われているのもこれと同様ですか？ Hi John, how do you like it here in Japan? Well Steve, I've been here for a long time, but I'm starting to run out of money. Why don't you just leave, then? Because, I have a two-year lease on my apartment. Basically, I'm stuck here in Japan for two more years. Why don't you just break the lease? I'm not that kind of guy. As far as I'm concerned, I'm in Japan for two more years. What are you going to say to your fiance? I'm just going to call her up and tell her that I can't control my circumstances. I might ask her for some money to help me out. She just has to get used to the fact that I will be in Japan for two years. But, what if she won't wait for you? We have a good relationship.
