yokenzoさんの言う通りBIOSが 壊れているのかもしれません。 その場合他のPCでHPのホームページから最新のBIOS をダウンロードしフロッピーに書き込み 問題のあるパソコンに入れてください。 詳しい方法はHPのホームページを参照してください。 また、上記の警告文を訳しますとBIOSの異常もしくは 起動時にESCキーが押されているため起動できない ようですのでESCキーの上に何か乗っていないか 確かめてください。 キーボードコネクタを挿しなおしたり他のキーボード を使ってみるのも(もしあればですが)有効でしょう。 またキーボードをパソコン本体より外して 起動し違うメッセージが表示されるかどうかも 確かめてください。

ありがとうございました！ESCキーの問題だったのかどうか定かではありませんが、キーボードをいったん外した後で再接続し、再度電源を入れたところ、うまい具合にパソコンが復旧しました。原因は未だに分かりませんが、とりあえず解決しました。本当に助かりました！
