MacUpdateのDesktop memberの解除方法について
- MacUpdateでユーザ登録をしたら自動的にDesktop memberになりますが、7日間放置すると自動でフリーメンバーになります。
- 解除方法は画面右下のキャンセルボタンから行えますが、キャンセルしても特に変化はありません。
- 解除手続きに関しての詳細は不明ですが、放置していれば自動で解除される可能性があります。

MacUpdateでソフトウェアを購入するのにユーザ登録をしたら自動的にDesktop memberになっていました。 英語がどうにもややこして7日間放置しておくと自動でフリーメンバーになるのか、 それともこのままのDesktop memberでいたければ7日間放置して請求を待てと書いているのか判りません。 http://www.macupdate.com/my-payments.php のページで 「Please note: If you just recently became a MacUpdate member and have not purchased a membership, your account will be marked as a Desktop account at $39.95. This will last for 7 days and is part of our free trial-rest assured that you have not, and will not, be automatically billed unless you elect to continue the membership.」 とあります。 画面右下にキャンセルボタンがあり 「Cancel your Desktop Membership Cancel You will continue to enjoy the benefits you have paid for until they expire.」 とあるのですが、画面を進めて 「Cancel Your Desktop Membership Your Desktop Membership is scheduled to expire on Dec 17, 2008. Click CONFIRM only if you do not want to automatically extend your Desktop Membership after that date. You will continue to enjoy all the benefits of your Desktop Membership until then, after which your account will change to a Free Membership.」 CONFIRMをクリックしましたが全く変化がありません。 これは放置していればいいのでしょうか？ それとも他に手続きが必要なのでしょうか？ 教えてください。

私も何回かこちらのサイトからソフトウェアを購入していますが、有料メンバーには登録していません。 理由は「Desktop Member」に与えられる「MacUpdate Desktop」なるソフトに必要性を感じないからと、有料メンバーだからといってディスカウントが無いからです。 最近のソフトウェアは立ち上げた時に自分でアップデート確認をしてくれますから。 さて質問文に添えられたリンクでは、同じく質問文中に書かれている英文が表示されない（登録プロセスを進まないといけない）ので、nicottiさんの写された英文から（と私の経験から）判断すると、 ソフトウェアの購入によって「一時的に」40ドル近くする「Desktop Member」の資格を与えられましたが、それは後７日が期限です。12月17日までに「Desktop Member」を享受し、気に入ればあらためて入会支払いをすればよい と、思われます。 実際には作られたアカウントでログインし、上部メニューから Preferennce を開くと、あなたの登録状況が確認出来ます。 私の場合、「Automatically Renew Subscription When Expired」にチェックが入っておらず、かつ「 (you need to be a paid member to change this option)」との注釈がついていて、フリーメンバー状態であることが確認できました。 私は参考リンクの「Holiday Bundle」を、数日前に購入しました。
